Look at me… I wish, I would… I dream someone would find that peace while looking at me.
I’d look at You… like the world would come to the end.
just let me find You…

I’m still far from translating turkish (yet learningit), but the name Ursari comes from Romanian, meaning “bearers” in “word-by-word” meaning, so i think they are Romanians.
edit: googled it and found the page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ursari and makes me smile. With respect.
New things, new feelings.
While I don’t agree with the bear training aspect (being totally animal rights vegan myself), I am touched by this photo because it is of my people. Thanks to golden-zephyr for posting. :)
These are Ursari Romani (known as bear trainers) and the photo is most likely of Turkish Ursari. All of the pages I found (and there were about 10 of them), were in Turkish.

Today I got that message from a friend, what made my day… My heart filled with tears, and eyes to smile. Wild, like a hyena, and filled all the air with gladness.
in america, you told me i was a panther. for weeks and weeks ive been searching animal symbolism so i can decide on a new tattoo. I searched so many animals and today i thought, ill look at panther because i remebered, as soon as i started reading i knew straight awya it was perfect.
Panther:
the symbol of feminine, understanding of death, reclaiming power, swiftness, cunning, strength, perservence, boldness, beauty and confidence.
Everything i wanted combined….
everyone has read it and immediately says thats me…. but it amazes me that you siad that animal out of so many.
Sometimes I see wings of birds flying out from souls, or running steps and cries, sounds and colours…And today a panther came to me. As I’d be walking in the dark night turning to morning with the first ray of the rising sun, facing a pair of golder eyes. Coming across the greens, from the roots of the Tree of Life, freezing me, stopping me in my moves. Calimg me, talking me, making me to talk. And whisper things. Dreaming, living, wishing. Holding me into unseen hands.
Helping me.
Gave me so much strenght today and for the future. So much ispiration. So much love. A new birth. And I felt like I’d be a watered poopy seed, blossoming in thee best place …what couldn’t be better, anywhere it would be possible to move to…
Not as it couldn’t happen, but I just fell in love with Life again. And again, and again. For a million more times.
And I thank You.

I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again:
I am not Roma because of a skirt or my hair.
I am not Roma because of a tattoo or my shoes.
I am not Roma because I walk barefoot;
climb trees;
or lie in a field.
I am not Roma because I have travelled.
I am not Roma because I have prayer beads;
bright bracelets;
or a Sanskrit necklace.
I am not Roma because I speak Romanes.
I am not Roma because I wear a dikhlo.
I am not Roma because I love Sara e Kali;
Horses;
or wine.
I am Roma because my heart is Roma;
my blood is Roma;
my soul is Roma.
You can’t buy those things.
You can’t learn those things.
You can’t become those things.
Wonderfully said. Heart and soul. Never else. Never bought. Never sold. Felt. And gave birth to.
And born to burn with it. With passion. With love. With Life.

I just fell in love with a contoller on the train. So desperate. Soooo so so!
And he was about to charge us… and finally let us go - cause it wasn’t our fault (details). And got into talking about some rules. But as he gave us the details, informative, yet knowing all, and in a funny strict way. I istantly fell in love.
Like a poppy would for a bee, first frightened that it would sting, then just listening to the buzz.
And those eyes…
